Jason Boh's School Of Martial Arts

I began Martial Arts in 1983, studying Shotokan Karate under Sensei Mervyn O’Donnell. I achieved my Black Belt at age 13, enjoying competing and assisting with teaching others .

Having always had a childhood fascination with Bruce Lee, I would regularly travel to London to study with Guro Bob Breen and became an Apprentice Instructor in his Jeet Kune Do/Kali International program. During this period, I was fortunate to meet Guro Dan Inosanto and I continued to attend Guro’s UK seminars in London, Edinburgh and Bournemouth. In 1999, I decided to start teaching regular classes, hiring school and community halls.

I became exposed to the wider Jeet Kune Do (JKD) community and in addition to Bob Breen I became acquainted with the other senior JKD UK Instructors such as Rick Young, Terry Barnett and Phil Norman.
I became a private student under Terry Barnett and would make regular trips to train with Terry at his home in Hertfordshire and hosting him in Portsmouth for annual seminars.

In 2006, Terry certified me as an Instructor in his Integrated Arts and in 2007, asked Guro Inosanto to accept me as an Apprentice Instructor in his Inosanto International Martial Art Instructors Association.
Always eager to continue driving my passion, I achieved Instructor credentials under Guro’s Rick Faye and Daniel Lonero and Blue Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Professor Dave Birkett.

I continue to travel worldwide to train with Guro Inosanto and countries include Germany, Spain, Italy and USA (Atlanta and Minnesota), and the Inosanto Academy, Los Angeles.

Jason Boh’s School Of Martial Arts (SMA) continues to develop students from 5 years upwards into confident, disciplined, respectful and skilled individuals. In addition to teaching classes, I also teach private lessons and am regularly invited to Ireland to teach at the SMA Affiliate School.

I have developed my own student curriculum and Instructor progression for those wishing to become Instructors, both within and outside of SMA.
My other relevant qualifications include a Personal Training Diploma and Teaching Certificate.
